So, I did it. I wanted to see what all the hype was about surrounding the new documentary on Netflix: “The Tinder Swindler”. Must say, I approve and totally recommend. Of course, in usual Mónica style I would decide to write about getting swindled while looking for love on Valentine’s Day.
It’s 2022 and I’m still trying to get “ready” for the New Year. Don’t judge 2022 made me hit the ground running and I’m barely starting to come up for air.
As my sunny blue skies turned muggy and cloudy because of the current fires in Northern and Central California, I’ve come to the realization that we cannot ignore this much longer. We, as in the collective WE are not okay. We are so far from okay, we’ve pretty much pitched a tent in fucked up land at this point.
Today is Indigenous People’s Day, and for the first time ever it resonates with me.…
What originally started as simply wanting to highlight the amazing representation of Salvadoran culture, pride, and it’s people. Has now led me to a journey of wanting to know more of our past.
