As I ate my slice of cake and started writing this post, I came to the conclusion that somewhere between the first snot filled “I hate you” I must have left my body. I mean how else can I explain my calmness?
You see I’m a single mom. I need to keep that balance for my son. I need to show him that women are strong, intelligent, and chingonas. Women must be respected, heard, and appreciated. While making sure he is surrounded by strong men, that are in tune with their emotions, intelligent, and driven. As a solo parent, I have extra work. But luckily for me I have a village. I have men in my life that have stepped up and filled this role.
Since we get a full month to celebrate and observe the vital role women play in our history as a Nation. I’m taking it one step further and celebrating women that have inspired, impacted, and helped mold the badass you all know today
These past few weeks have been interesting and entertaining. Not as much as the chaos that was my first zoom call, though. We had 10-12 kids trying to out-toy the other kid, mom’s that didn’t put their screens on mute, so everything could be heard.
Like many Mami’s out there, I’m now a member of the homeschooling club. Which means my kiddo and I survived our first week, not sure how but we did. I’m going to be honest with you, when this first started, I didn’t take the homeschooling part too seriously.
